We provide two kinds of type II diabetic lab-monkey models, one is spontaneous diabetic model, which is screened out from large-scale of farming monkey groups according to the clinical criteria of diabetes mellitus, and the another one is induced diabetic model, which is fed with a special diet from the point of etiology of diabetes, and thus we could obtain a series of diabetic models with different disease processes. Rosiglitazone treatment can effectively improve the symptoms of above monkeys.
These models could be applied directly in the pharmacodynamic evaluation of anti-diabetic drugs and etiology research on diabetes.
NHP Model for Parkinson Disease (PD)
Among PD animal model, it is said that l-methyl - 4 - phenyl-l, 2, 3, 6 - tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) induced one is comparatively reliable and more close to clinical PD. It is proved as a better PD model by the behavioral and imaging detection, and its conditions can be reversed effectively with the treatment of Madopa.
The model can be applied directly in the research on PD drug evaluation.
